Mike Straumietis is the CEO and Founder of Advanced Nutrients. He and his company are involved in a number of partnerships for charitable endeavors. One of these partnerships is with the Jewish National Fund-USA or the JNF-USA.
The JNF-USA, the leading philanthropic organization for Israel, supports a number of important environmental and nation-building activities in Israel. The association as of late declared that record reserves were raised at its yearly L.A. Golf Exemplary, presently called the David Straight to the point Remembrance Golf Exemplary, introduced by Cutting edge Supplements.
This was also the seventh straight year the event was held, and this year, it was hosted in memory of David Frank, an active and engaged member of the Los Angeles Jewish community who was also a distinguished member of the organization’s National and Greater Los Angeles Boards of Directors for over 30 years.
The event also welcomed guest speaker Lt. Col. (Res.) Tiran Attia, founder of the JNF-USA’s Special in Uniform program. During his speech, Attia shared how attendees’ philanthropic dollars enable and empower young Israelis with cognitive disabilities to join and serve in the Israel Defense Forces, or the IDF.
The JNF – USA’s Exceptional in Uniform program gives individuals handicaps a spot in the IDF and the honor and chance to serve their country. After undergoing and completing basic training, the IDF assesses each soldier’s skillset and assigns them to a particular branch of service that aligns perfectly with their strengths. With the unwavering support of JNF-USA’s partners, the Special in Uniform program has incorporated more than 500 people with disabilities into the IDF, with still over 200 people on the waiting list.
On a recent trip to Israel, Mike Straumietis visited one of the Special in Uniform army bases and was moved by what he witnessed, as he has always dreamed of helping others achieve what may seem impossible initially and championed inclusivity no matter where. He has also expressed how the JNF-USA’s mission is tremendously close to his heart and finds it extremely meaningful to have Advanced Nutrients as a sponsor for this great annual golf tourney for the second year in a row.
Mike Straumietis knows first-hand the kind of people and projects his funding and effort will support and how very grateful he is that he can help young adults succeed in the future. Continues from the David Straightforward Remembrance Golf Exemplary will go to the JNF-USA’s One Billion Dollar Guide for the Following Ten years program, which has raised more than $941 million to support critical environmental and nation-building activities in Israel’s Negev and Galilee regions.
This year’s tournament winners included: Keith West, Jeremy Canter; Ryan Lynch; Harris Siskind, and runners-up JNF-USA Greater LA Board Member & Event Co-Chair Joe Rosen; Michael Rosenmayer; Tyson Parsons, and Ben Posen. The 2023 David Frank Memorial Golf Classic will happen on July 31, 2023, at the Riviera. People are already excited about this upcoming event and all the causes the fundraising will be able to help in the future.
